Experience

Melissa brings more than 20 years of accounting and advisory experience to Windham Brannon’s advisory team. While she primarily focuses on CFO and Controller support, Melissa also excels in many other areas of advisory, including forensic accounting, financial modeling, analytics, and mergers & acquisitions.

Her versatility is a result of a career spent in both public accounting and the private sector. Melissa leverages her extensive accounting and analytical skills to help clients achieve significant improvements in both their financial and operational performance. By conducting thorough financial analyses, developing financial models, and implementing strategic cost accounting initiatives, she identifies opportunities for growth and efficiency. This comprehensive approach ensures that clients not only enhance their financial stability but also streamline their operations, leading to long-lasting results.

Melissa provides advisory services to clients across a wide range of industries, but her passion for healthcare stems from her tenure as Controller and CFO for a large healthcare group. Through this experience, Melissa acquired the knowledge and expertise necessary to assist clients with strategic business development, process improvements, day-to-day accounting services, business analytics, and KPIs, as well as budgeting and forecasting.

Melissa’s public accounting background provides a comprehensive knowledge of tax compliance and planning, entity structure, mergers and acquisitions, GAAP accounting, and a variety of other advisory-focused services that support her clients’ needs.

Melissa works and resides in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she provides advisory services to Chattanooga and Atlanta clients. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southeastern Louisiana University and a master’s degree in Accounting from the University of New Orleans.  She is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants.
