Windham Brannon Prioritizes Giving Back, Continuance of Profession

ATLANTA – (6/28/2023) Eight college students in accounting will receive scholarships through Windham Brannon’s endowment fund via the Georgia Society of CPAs Educational Foundation. Windham Brannon is delighted to announce its 2023 scholarship recipients:

• Windham Brannon’s Jim Duval Scholarship: Lindsey Green, LaGrange College
• Windham Brannon’s Stuart Cashin Scholarship: Payton Smith, Georgia College & State University

The Windham Brannon Foundation was established in 2006 in celebration of the firm’s 50th anniversary, and to fund annual scholarships for students pursuing careers in the accounting and finance industry. With nearly 100 percent participation from employees, the inaugural fundraising campaign generated $100,000, which was matched by the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants in honor of its own Golden Anniversary. The $200,000 endowment provides scholarships each year to several students at Georgia colleges and universities. The Foundation also contributes to charities supported by employees and friends of the Firm.

Founders Ben Brannon and Fred Windham believed in mentoring and investing in young professionals interested in accounting, as a way to give back to those who apprenticed them throughout their careers. This culture is engrained in the firm’s investments with the belief that the firm succeeds when the community succeeds.
