The City of Atlanta contracted with Windham Brannon’s Forensic and Litigation Support Services team to perform forensic analysis to determine how fraud and corruption occurred and the extent to which fraud was committed.

Covered in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution last week, it was reported as “a 62-page [forensic] audit of the former mayor’s longtime chief financial officer.”

Charlie McGimsey, Windham Brannon’s forensic support team lead, presented the firm’s findings at City Hall last week. The city council president had initially requested the audit in 2019 and the work was finalized in summer 2021.
