Financial Acumen: From his 44 years of experience, Mr. McGimsey possesses a comprehensive understanding of financial matters. His skillsets encompass public and closely-held businesses, corporate, partnership and individual taxation, IRS controversies and corporate governance via Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
In addition to leading the litigation services team, Charlie was also Windham Brannon’s Managing Partner, serving from 1996 to 2010. He also has experience with audits of law firms for the U.S. Inspector General (FDIC), supervision of complex and sensitive engagements with the U.S. Treasury Department (Washington, D.C.) and FDIC’s Office of Inspector General (Washington, D.C.), merger and acquisition engagements for the Resolution Trust Corporation and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as well as private companies.

Charlie graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting. He is a member of the AICPA (and former member of AICPA’s Forensic and Valuation Services Executive Committee and Passive Activity Task Force), and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Charlie also served as Chairman of AGN North America and President and Director of the Buckhead Chapter of the Georgia Society of CPAs.
