Experience

Charles McGimsey leads the litigation services team for the firm. His extensive accounting experience includes damage measurement, litigation support services, income taxation, fraud, and forensic investigations, business planning, business valuations, and engagements under Sarbanes Oxley. Charles’ professional experience includes consulting and/or testifying in numerous lawsuits, financial projections for securities offerings, return on investments for large securities companies, and securities suits involving churning and suitability of investments for investors, among much more.

He also has experience with audits of law firms for the U.S. Inspector General (FDIC), supervision of complex and sensitive engagements with the U.S. Treasury Department (Washington, D.C.) and FDIC’s Office of Inspector General (Washington, D.C.), merger and acquisition engagements for the Resolution Trust Corporation and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as well as private companies.

Charles graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting. He is member of the AICPA Forensic and Valuation Services Executive Committee, AICPA Passive Activity Task Force, and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Charles also served as Past Chairman of the AGN North America and Past President and Director of the Buckhead Chapter of the Georgia Society of CPAs.
