Experience

Valerie is an Assurance Senior Manager at Windham Brannon and has nearly nine years of experience in public accounting.  She specializes in serving clients in various industries, including construction, real estate, manufacturing and distribution as well as professional services firms. Valerie also has expertise in various types of benefit plan audits, including 401(k)s, 403(b)s and Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs).

Valerie’s primary goal is to make the audit process as smooth as possible for clients, and she takes pride in providing an excellent level of service. Valerie communicates with clients throughout the year to help answer questions that arise, working with them to ensure the audit process meets their expected timetable. She also coordinates the various phases of the engagement’s fieldwork with clients, supervises the assurance functions and works closely with principals to communicate the day-to-day activities.

Prior to joining Windham Brannon, Valerie spent 15 + years in the private industry working for a national insurance company and has knowledge in property claims settlement and personal and commercial insurance.

Valerie earned her undergraduate degree from Georgia Gwinnett College in business administration with an accounting concentration, and she later earned her graduate degree from Georgia State University in professional accountancy.
